If the United States has so much oil in its reserves, then why has my gas bill gone from around $4.00 a gallon to over $6.00 a gallon?

How is that helping the average American family? And at what point are we supposed to stop asking questions and simply accept that everything is “great” while the cost of living keeps going up?

Are we really supposed to believe that these rising costs are acceptable and that the “little orange man” is doing a wonderful and exciting job? I think Americans deserve some real answers.

Under this president, many Americans are feeling the pressure of rising costs of living—from groceries and housing to utilities and everyday necessities. When working families are paying more just to afford the basics, it is fair to ask: How is this helping us?

People deserve an economy where their hard-earned money goes further, where families can afford their necessities, and where the cost of living does not continue to put additional strain on their household budgets. Regardless of political party, leaders should be focused on addressing the economic pressures that Americans experience every day.

I used to identify as a Republican, but over time my views have changed, and I now consider myself an Independent.

I believe in thinking for myself, evaluating leaders based on their actions and decisions, and putting the interests of the American people first. At this point, I cannot support a president whom I believe is unfit to serve in office.

My political affiliation may have changed, but my commitment to my country and to making my own informed decisions has not.

To the American people:

No matter who occupies the White House, America belongs to its people. Our strength does not come from one president or one political party—it comes from millions of Americans who work hard, care for their families, serve their communities, and continue moving forward through difficult times.

If you believe our country’s leadership is falling short, do not lose hope. Stay informed, speak up, participate in your community, and make your voice heard through the democratic process. Hold leaders accountable while treating your fellow Americans with dignity and respect.

We may disagree on politics, but we can still believe in the promise of America: opportunity, freedom, justice, and a government accountable to the people.

Keep going. Keep speaking up. Keep believing in your fellow Americans. The future of this country belongs to all of us.
